There were very subtle differences in the colors too. Multiple monitors from then on.īut the difference in size started driving me crazy too. I made my 15" Sony Trinitron CRT monitor my secondary monitor. ![]() Almost 30 years ago (now I feel old), I "stepped up" and bought my first "large screen" monitor. In all honesty, the big screen having a remote control is the feature I probably like more than the refresh rate.Ĭlick to expand.Yeah. ![]() I think better color reproduction and usability features like better OSD are more important. Nice to have, not something I would pay much more for. Not necessarily for static activities like writing an email but anything more dynamic, even as simple as modelling a cable holder, you definitely can feel an improvement. It's lot a life changing difference, but when comparing side by side - I have the 120Hz screen next to two 60Hz ones - it's more comfortable to use. And a laptop in front so I can definitely overload myself with information. This way I can fit everything I can reasonably comprehend with my tiny brain on one screen and have the other one connected to another machine. ![]() I also despise crippled scaling and don't like "single machine multi-monitor" setups so I went from 40" to 43". I'm not a "gamer", I mostly use my computers for work and other mundane things, with games being at most 15-20% of the time. I went from 60Hz to 120Hz a few years ago and can say it's an improvement.
